Friday 8th January
Well we made to Chiang Mai on the morning flight and into our hotel The Goldenbell. Still feeling a bit crook, but its slowly going away thankfully. We flew out of a wet and muggy Bangkok, through the clouds to the blue skies of Chiang Mai which was lovely. It is a busy place and our hotel is just off the ring road.
We had a walk around earlier to get a feel of where we were, getting across the road earlier was a hazard, but I presume you just get used to it. Lots of wonderful smells of Thai cooking everywhere, unfortunately I don't feel I could do it just right now. Perhaps tomorrow.
Off to walk around the night market and just maybe a purchase or two. I should have a better feel of the place tomorrow, but already think we are going to love it. The camera is coming out some hopefully some pictures for you tomorrow.
Might manage some noodles and a beer tonight.
Think I might have finally mastered this comment business-poor you the flight out sounded a bit grim but hopefully you are feeling better now. Have printed out your itinerary and stuck it up on the fridge so that I can follow progress. Have fun yx
