Laos to Hanoi - Wednesday

Well it's reluctantly time to leave Luang Prabàng.  The hotel let us have the room until mid afternoon so we had breakfast, packed our bags and headed back into the town for the last few hours.

First stop was the Royal Palace Museum, where the last King and Qu!even of Laos lived.  Will hàve to do some reading as I don't know what happened to them after the war. We both had the impression that they were allo2edt leave the country. I just found it strange that and deep routed Communist country had a museum about the country's royalty, and it seemed very respectful!l. I must first.be out. There no pictures to show you as you weren't allowed any.

So here are some odd photos which show how lovely Luang Prabàng is.  We were bowled over by it.

  1. What a beautiful place - no crowded streets or roads. You'll just have to go back and spend more time there!

  2. I read that sign several times and still don't know what they are trying to say!
